Digital Content Specialist
We are looking for a professional with 2-3 years of experience in digital content creation. Someone who has helped develop and implement creative organic and paid social media campaigns designed to engage target audiences, raise awareness of issues and motivate action. Has graphic design capabilities, including creating both digital and print material with experience in Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, Ilustrator, Premiere and PowerPoint. Has experience in producing multimedia content, across formats, for social media platforms and digital advertising. Has been a part of successful and failed campaigns and understands what went well and how to improve upon what did not work.
Ideal candidate is a digital storyteller with a marketing mindset and is able to bring conceptual ideas to the table. Has a pulse on social media trends and thinks creatively and proactively about how to translate those trends into effective and engaging content.
Able to manage multiple projects in different subject areas simultaneously.
Specific responsibilities include
Serve as a key member of project teams to conceptualize and create digital collateral, including social media and website copy, email newsletters, graphics and fact sheets
Produce high quality multimedia content including images, video and infographics
Manage and maintain content calendars on Sprout Social to ensure timley delivery of content
Monitor and analyze the performance of content and adjust strategies as needed
Research and remain up-to-date on industry trends and digital media technologies and incorporate them into content strategies and tactics.
Ensure all content is optimized for all digital platforms and meets accessibility standards
Assist with full-scale digital campaigns, including organic and paid social media, email marketing, website management, content creation and digital advertising
Support tracking and reporting of campaign progress using Google Analytics and a variety of social media ad platforms
Participate in client-facing communications with confidenceRequirements
BS or BA degree
Experience and Skills
2-3 years experience as a content creator, or similar role, inclusive of portfolio of published work
Ability to manage, schedule and track content calendars. An understanding of Sprout Social or alike platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of digital design applications, including Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Abobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
Ability to monitor, track and quantify impact of digital campaigns and make decisions based on data using Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok for Business and Twitter Ads.
Working knowledge of PHP-based CMS systems including WordPress and Squarespace
Working knowledge of SEO and digital content marketing strategy
Working knowledge of email marketing platforms including Constant Contact and Mailchimp
Working knowledge of the communications toolbox, including media relations, grassroots outreach and email marketing, and how to best leverage digital strategies and tools to enhance those efforts
Strong communication and writing skills; ability to easily express thoughts and insights in a simple manner
Experience managing client relationships
Experience working on a team and independently
