JT Leads the John Howard Association in a Comprehensive Rebranding Initiative

JT was honored to have recently worked with the John Howard Association of Illinois (JHA) — the only independent prison monitoring organization in Illinois — on a comprehensive rebranding initiative.

JHA is a cornerstone of justice and democracy in Illinois. They go inside every correctional facility in the state and interview those on all sides to evaluate conditions, treatment and programming for imprisoned youth and adults. And they strive to create a more fair, humane and effective criminal justice system for all.

JT and our design partner worked with the 118-year-old organization to develop a new brand identity and logo, a core messaging platform, a new website and a marketing video. These pieces work collectively to raise the organization’s profile; showcase their critical work and impact; engage new audiences in prison monitoring and reform; and offer new opportunities for others to get involved.

The new brand represents JHA in a new light and highlights the values on which the organization stands: transparency, dignity, accountability.

JHA gives voice to those in prison. They inspire all of us to recognize that every prisoner deserves to be treated with dignity and humanity. JT is proud to work with partners who carry out this critical mission and are committed to upholding such powerful values every day.
