Emily joined JT in 2019, bringing a strong background in media relations, crisis communications and strategic communications to the team.
Emily’s clients include Heartland Alliance, the Greater Washington Community Foundation and Navy Pier. She has secured recent media placements in national and local outlets including the Chicago Tribune, ABC-7, WGN Radio, and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Prior to joining JT, Emily oversaw the public relations department for the Chicago History Museum, where she built communications campaigns and provided media relations, crisis communications, media training, strategic counsel and event management support. From 2012 to 2015 Emily served as newsroom coordinator in Northwestern University’s department of media relations.
Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of Women Employed’s Advocacy Council.
